JERKY MARINADE

JERKY MARINADE RECIPE For 1lb meat:
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 2 tbsp Worcestershire
* 2 tbsp liquid smoke (I subbed with 2 tsp Epicure Chipotle powder)
* 2 tbsp brown sugar (I used coconut palm sugar)
* 2 tsp salt
* 1 tsp pepper
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp paprika
« Mix all ingredients together and pour into a freezer bag with your strips of raw meat. I recommend marinating for a full day in the fridge. But you can cut that time down (or longer) if you have to.
« Make sure to flip the bag every once and awhile and kind of squish the meat around to make sure it's completely covered.
« The original recipe called for this amount of marinade with 2lbs of meat, but I doubled it for a batch and found it was much more flavourful and delicious! I did find some pieces a little salty, and since you use soy sauce and Worcestershire in this recipe, you could probably do without the salt.
